Vapour Barrier - cold self-adhesive VCL

Purpose:

DACO-KSD-H is used as a high-quality vapour barrier (functional layer) on non aerated layers of steel deck sub constructions. The following roof layers (insulation, sealant, etc.) have to either be mechanically fixed or by means of an extra load secured against lifting forces (e.g. wind suction).

Application:

The application of DACO-KSD-H is carried out in accordance with DIN 18531, the nationally valid "Regulations for roofs with sealant – flat roof regulations" and the "abc of bitumen membranes". The membrane, which is laminated with separator stripes on the bottom side, has to be adhered to the top chord of the profiled steel sheet with a joint overlap of at least 8 cm.

All joint overlaps have to be unrolled with a draw roll. The built in functional layer of DACO-KSD-H is not a 100 % rainproof. Further roof layers should therefore be added bit by bit.

Dusty, oily and greasy surfaces have to be cleaned and degreased and require being primed with BÖCOPLAST PM. The surface has to be primed if the outside or surface temperatures are below + 5° C. When applying DACO-KSD-H on a moulded surface appropriate measures have to be taken to prevent perforation of the membrane.

Chemical resistance:

DACO-KSD-H is water-resistant as well as resistant to watery solutions of salt, diluted non oxidising acids and bases. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons as well as chlorine hydrocarbons, oils and greases loosen DACO-KSD-H.

Storage:

Cool and dry. Protect from direct sunlight. The product should be used within 3 months of the delivery date otherwise the surface has to be primed with BÖCOPLAST PM first.
